Ron Paul Responds to TSA: Introduces 'American Traveler Dignity Act'

There's an interesting undercurrent of anger out in the ether about the obnoxious and invasive procedures at airports. Airport hassles make me so angry that I scarcely want to go anyplace these days. Yesterday, our own U.S. Rep Ron Paul throws a beautiful rant on the subject and says things that should be said more often and more loudly. We travel in misery, and it seems like the tearists have succeeded in disrupting the natural order of our lives.

I was so glad to see this. The whole Travel Sexual Assault is just too much. Jeffrey Goldberg has had some humorous blogs about TSA's newest humiliations for the traveling public. My favorite is his idea for men to wear kilts on Opt-Out day.

Yeh, Gurl, I'm pained by the citizens of this country having acquiesced in the destruction of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution. It started with the bogus War on Drugs [drugs are winning] and really got outrageous when we decided to combat the tearists by hassling the hell out of our own citizenry when they travel. It just runs me nuts to be in an airport with the multicolored threat levels and obnoxious announcements. We should rise up and demand better, or simply avoid air travel when possible.
