Who could resist

Beethoven's #5 played surf guitar-style by The Ventures?

Just happened on it. I love that Fifties and Sixties surfer music for its essentially happy, angst-free spirit.

Love it! Thanks!

Reminds me of the series from 20-25years ago--Hooked on the Classics, classical music done in a style to make it more appealing to folks now. I absolutely wore out my cassettes!

Loon, you made me smile today! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Ventures.

Oh, did I mention I LOVE THE VENTURES?

How very cool! Beats the hell out of the disco version, that's for sure. And I would expect such great stuff from the band that made THE BEST TV THEME SONG EVER! Hawaii Five-O theme is still and always will be the coolest of them all.

Dad was a greaser who had serious aspirations of going to California after he graduated from high school to be a beach bum, inspired by the music of the Beach Boys, the Ventures, Jan and Dean, and others. Seriously, he was going to do that, until - OOOPS - I happened. Then, yeah, plans changed. But things like that happen. He still loves the music, though, as do I.
